Who runs this site

DownTo1 Bikes (bikes.downto1.com, part of DownTo1) is operated by Michał Zajączkowski, a sole operator based in Poland, who is the data controller under the GDPR. Contact: info@downto1.com.

What this site does not do

There are no accounts, no forms, and no advertising trackers. Your answers and session live in your browser's local storage only and are never transmitted to us. This storage is strictly necessary for the app to function and involves no tracking.

Visit statistics (no cookies)

We count visits with Umami, an open-source analytics tool we host on our own domain (stats.downto1.com). It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and collects no personal profiles — only aggregate figures such as pages viewed, referrer, country and browser type. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing whether the site is used (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Because no personal data is stored and nothing is shared with third parties, no consent banner is required.

Outbound retailer links

Links to retailers may be affiliate links, in which case clicking one takes you through an affiliate network's redirect before it hands you to the retailer. That network and the retailer may then set cookies on their own domains to attribute a purchase, and we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This never affects the ranking. Each such network acts as its own controller for that processing, under its own privacy policy; no identifier is set by us and nothing runs in your browser here. Nothing happens at all unless you choose to click an outbound link. At the time of writing no affiliate network is switched on and every outbound link is the plain retailer URL; this section will name the network here, with a link to its privacy policy, before any click is routed through one.

Hosting

The site is delivered by a content delivery network, which briefly processes IP addresses in server logs for security and delivery (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Your rights

You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR) — write to info@downto1.com. You can also complain to a supervisory authority; ours is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes UODO), Poland — uodo.gov.pl.
